To everyone running the Standard Chartered Marathon Singapore 2010 this Sunday, I wish you all the best! With three different race starts and a common finish point, it’s a running experience like no other.
As a new guy in the industry, this is my biggest timing project so far with 60k runners. The timing team is very well-prepared after a long period of planning, so we’re confident that everything will go well this Sunday.
Just remember to wear your ChampionChip properly and follow all race instructions.
Have a great race and I’ll see you at the finish point!

Great Eastern Women 10k 311010
Our company, Enterprise Sports Group, organizes the Great Eastern Women 10k every year. So this time round, our timing business unit isn’t working with external organizers, as we normally do. I’m used to working with one or two colleagues for an event, but this time, the whole office was there and I feel a lot more… protected. Haha!

And of all the people to bump into during an all-female race, I met the interior designer whom my family worked with to renovate our new home. He was waiting for his girlfriend at the finish gantry.

This event is the last one for my mentor, SJ, who is leaving. He’s a very intelligent and patient colleague who taught me everything from scratch. Goodbye SJ! Singapore’s really small and we’ll might work together again some day.

I joined ESG Timing as a timing executive shortly after I graduated.
My job scope revolves around the ChampionChip timing system, which is widely used in mass race timing. This currently includes timing-related events management, programming and marketing of ChampionChip.
