Ten Reasons To Throw Out Your Microwave Oven
Forwarded via email.
The email lists ten reasons to throw out the microwave oven. I don’t know how true the claims are, but they might be worth your consideration.
- Continually eating food processed from a microwave oven causes long term permanent brain damage by shorting out electrical impulses in the brain (de-polarizing or de-magnetizing the brain tissue).
- The human body cannot metabolize the unknown by-products created in microwaved food.
- Male and female hormone production is shut down and/or altered by continually eating microwaved foods.
- The effects of microwaved food by-products are residual (long term and permanent) within the human body.
- Minerals, vitamins, and nutrients of all microwaved food is reduced or altered so that the human body gets little or no benefit, or the human body absorbs altered compounds that cannot be broken down.
- The minerals in vegetables are altered into cancerous free radicals when cooked in microwave ovens.
- Microwaved foods cause stomach and intestinal cancerous growths (tumors). This may explain the rapidly increased rate of colon cancer in America.
- The prolonged eating of microwaved foods causes cancerous cells to increase in human blood.
- Continual ingestion of microwaved food causes immune system deficiencies through lymph gland and blood serum alterations.
- Eating microwaved food causes loss of memory, concentration, emotional instability, and a decrease of intelligence.

House Warming Changi Rise
Living room.
We moved into Changi Rise on 280210 and will spend the next 10 to 12 months here, before moving (again!) down to Dakota Residences @ Mountbatten Road.
Changi Rise is about 6 years old now and we’ve been renting it out since we bought it. So far the tenants were all very nice people, but the latest one proved to be the worst one we’ve ever encountered. The family caused almost $2k+ of damages which were promptly deducted from the deposit. Moreover, they had illegally sublet a room out to another person. Mold growing all over the bathroom walls, cracked parquet, scratches all over the windows and walls. I wonder how they can live in such a dirty environment.
At 1600 sq ft, Changi Rise is almost 500 sq ft bigger than Spottiswoode Apartments. 5 rooms (1 maid’s room), 4 toilets (1 maid’s toilet), a living room and a dining area.
To sum it all up in a few short paragraphs, I enjoy living here because:
- It is much quieter here in Changi Rise. I wake up to an eerie silence on most mornings. The only sound coming from the swimming pool fountain.
- There’s lots of good food around and they have everything here from groceries to electronics. I don’t usually leave the East side, even on weekends.
- I’m 5 minutes away from Jessie’s place. Elgene’s place is even nearer.
- The neighbours are friendly. Plenty of dog-owners around.
- My air-con is working properly.
- I can now smoke in the open-air laundry area without stinking up the whole house. I used to climb out to the parapet while at Spottiswoode. If I try that there, I would fall 7 storeys to my death because there is no parapet.
- The three available treadmills in the gym are really good and I love leaping into the pool after a run. The lounge, barbecue and swimming pool facilities are also well-maintained and huge.
- I have the lousiest car around and all the big fat expensive continental cars avoid parking next to me. As such, I have ample space to open my car door.
- Most importantly, there are no drunks or rowdy prostitutes loitering around.
However, I don’t like living here because:
- The multi-gym here is badly maintained. Worn-out cables and missing attachments. You just can’t get a proper work out here.
- It now takes me 30 minutes and $5.50 (worth of ERP fees) to travel down to school every morning. The worst jam on the ECP lasted 1 hour 15 minutes.
- My bedroom is literally a bed in a room. The design is… weird! As such, I have a study room next door to place my books, study table and computer. I wanted to knock down the built-in cabinets and walls to connect these two rooms, but the management would never allow anyone to. This is the main issue which upset me the most, as I was hoping to build a home gym.

PSP Upgrade From 3.71 M33 to 5.50 GEN-D3
Some resources for you to upgrade your PlayStation Portable (PSP).
I am not responsible if you end up (you could) bricking your PSP.
Just ask the experts on the relevant sites if you are not sure. I have only done it on a PSP-1000 and PSP-2000. At first I wasn’t sure if the PSP-2000 had a TA088v3 motherboard. I proceeded with the upgrade, prayed hard, and it worked out fine.
Instructions
Firstly, upgrade your PSP from 3.71 M33 to 5.00 M33-6. Then use the XGEN Updater to update the version to GEN-D3.

Important: Do not attempt to install the XGEN updater on PSP-3000 / PSP-2000 TA088v3. You will brick your PSP if you do.
