I was talking to my friend during dinner, after skate training today.
Me : So when did you start smoking?
Friend : 8.
Me : What the…? How?
Friend : Haha. The teacher in school said that smoking was bad. And my dad smokes.
Me : Ok.
Friend : So I went home and tried a cigarette.
Me : I see. How did it taste like?
Friend : Very bad. But I didn’t understand why my dad enjoyed it even though the taste was horrible.
Me : Did you stop?
Friend : No, I smoked some more to find out why. And it became a habit.

The Taking Of An Innocent Life
I attended a classmate’s Dad’s funeral today.
It was disheartening to know that his life was probably taken away by a crook. That crook preyed on an innocent and righteous man, but did not have the compassion to spare his life.
I hope the authorities find this guy and hang him. This damned soul will never go to heaven, but rather, left to suffer together with other murderers-alike in hell.
Let’s not ask more about the situation, but if you have condolences to offer, please leave them in the comment box.

I woke up this morning with a very runny nose. I sneezed all over my dogs, which hopped onto my bed to greet me. My head felt heavy and I sneezed at every step of the way from my bedroom to the kitchen. I had a bad cough, presumably from smoking so much in the past few days.
I had a hot bowl of noodles and the symptoms disappeared shortly after.
I don’t have swine flu.
I won’t be quarantined.
Which means that I still have upcoming tests and project deadlines to meet.

Received lots of phone calls from foreign students last week.
Me : Hello?
Caller : Hi, are you renting out the master bedroom?
Me : Huh?
Caller : Renting master bedroom?
Me : No. You got the wrong number.
Caller : How come?
Me : Where did you get my number from?
Caller : Flyer. MDIS canteen.

Feeling a burnout from all that studying.
Relaxing is not an option right now because there are so many tests (worth a lot of marks) and a presentation coming up within the next few weeks.
Looking forward to the class barbecue coming up during the term break (even though it’s only 2 days for us).

Jessie’s 24th birthday entry is finally up! A staggering 635 photos (1.76 GB) for the two nights, which took me ages to upload.
Enjoy!

Called up LTA to check on the status of my bus lane violation appeal. The phone operator congratulated me on a successful appeal and advised me to wait for an official letter.
Otherwise, I would be $130 poorer.
The Villa Bistro 060609
Watched Surreal (Pang, Mizie, Kingston and Daniel) perform at Fad Studio @ Bussorah Street.
Had dinner with the rest of the guys before heading down to East Coast with Elgene, because the rest of them were heading to KTV pubs which we weren’t really into.
Settled down at The Villa Bistro @ Big Splash.

The last time I met them was 2 years ago. Everybody still looks the same! There was plenty of stuff to talk about, especially when we haven’t seen them for so long. But the 4 hours of sleep the night before (due to projects) threatened to pull my eyelids shut and I sent them back shortly before midnight. Definitely more to come!
