Some lady in our project group fucked up big time. We were fooled by her initial friendly appearance, and agreed to let her join our group months back. She complained to us about her previous team mates, who were biased, arrogant, cocky and rude towards her. Now we ALL know why…

1. She sent me a half-fuck report all in point form, on the date of submission.

2. We only asked for 2 presentation slides, yet it was so badly done that she, herself, didn’t know how to present her own work.

She did that twice in a row for both concurrent projects! And her wonderful excuse was… I tried to do the project ALL weekend but my mind was BLANK. Cannot think of what to write.

Jessie got so stressed up clearing up the shit for her all day while I was busy compiling the other reports to meet the 7pm deadline.

She saw us coming into class, turned around, tried to talk to us when Jessie slammed, LOUD!, yes, slammed her bag on the table and stared at her. So she quietly turned back. Jessie was fuming mad, and I had my hands behind her, just in case she leaned forward and slapped her. When class ended, the lady packed her bag and quickly left.

Tell me how not to be angry with her? I really hope you guys don’t bump into such people in life.

  6. Haha we get people like this in SMU. Already had a few project mates like this. But the power of market forces mean that everyone will soon get perfect knowledge of how she is like. Good luck to leeches like her.

  10. HAHAHAHA! Hello Geng! Love the way you put it… “power of market forces”. Haha! SMU projects are really tough, must have been hard on you.

  11. Projects are tough but I feel I learn more from them than the books :) Anyway coincidentally I was discussing with some of my friends (from another project group but they are awesome pple) about ‘project mates from hell’ over lunch yesterday.

One of my friends had this trio of ghouls in her business law group. They simply didn’t care about the presentation and report, leaving her to do everything by herself. Of course, the report had only one name too…

  12. So the three flunked biz law right? What happened?

Jessie was really tempted to do that but I told her not to do so, since its the last one we’ve got, and the conflict started just before the deadline, so it was an error on our part having not monitored her closely.

  13. Haha my friend didn’t know what happened to them; she couldn’t be bothered to anyway.

Sometimes it’s just all about luck in getting such group members. But I would like to see it as a learning experience, learning how to handle such people so I know what to do when I enter the workforce.

Most of the time for the uninitiated, I would give them the most mundane tasks. But I would harass them (through emails, phonecalls and more emails) until they give me something proper. Not so ready to let them off the hook without contributing something to the group.

  14. geng i agree with u :D

  15. brother geng, you did the right thing man. don’t call it harassing, it’s called reminding. people with little initiative to do things right need to be reminded all the time like a kid.

geng, i like to see someone contribute something. even if it’s something not that crucial to the project, probably going to the Appendix section or something, but you can see that the person put in effort to try and do it right, i’ll let that person off the hook. i don’t even mind doing his/her part.

but this lady that fucked us all up is simply too much. too lazy.

  16. Chris forget to mention that shes fucking stupid too.

FOR the very 1st time in my life, i receive project contribution that’s copied and pasted from WIKIPEDIA. HOW WONDERFUL! Moreover, the stuff that she copied isn’t related to the project case study. Damn!

I suppose her family has an history of mental retardation that’s been passed down from one generation to another.
