The lecturer decided to call for a five minute break.

Me : Let’s go..

Jessie : Don’t want la, might as well finish it..

Me : Since we both ain’t listening to his lecture, we might as well leave.. Have dinner, go home, have an early night.

Jessie : Wait wait wait!

Me : Wait what?

Jessie : Wait until he leaves the class…

Me : No need wait la. Just take bag and go.

Jessie : Very obvious la..

Me : The longer we wait, the more obvious it’s gonna be..

I got up, took my bag then pulled the very-reluctant Jessie out through the front door. And as soon as we got out, Jessie scampered (like a hamster) away as fast as she could and I couldn’t help but to stand there and laugh at her cute reaction towards truancy.

*discreetly look at the bottom part of the wine label*

MADE IN AUSTRALIA

Slowly lower the wine to waist level, turn it round, as if observing the contours of the bottle… Stare at the label, memorize the name…

Then in one swift fluid motion…

Quickly hold it up to eye level, smile at the cashier, and loudly proclaim "Hey, I used to drink this wine back in Australia. This (brand of wine) is fantastic I tell ya"

Well, thats how we shop at wine cellars. :D

Big big thanks to Jessie and her mum. They bought the cake, together with a Bonia cufflinks and tie-pin set, then hand delivered it down to my place.

He refuses to let the hamster go..

Chinese New Year 2007 Fireworks (video)

With traffic police stationed at every single double zig zag line, there was no way anyone could have parked by the side of the road. After futile attempts to find an isolated corner, we finally settled down at the High Court carpark, scurried up to the Supreme Court, and still made it in time for the fireworks.

Jessie took a video of the fireworks while sitting on the steps outside the Supreme Court. Fantastic view from there.

Tonight was the only night I felt like walking out of Accounts class. I was pretty much deprived of sleep, so much so that no amount of coffee could perk me up, and that includes cigarettes as well.

The teacher’s handwriting was so small. And when it comes to numbers being written in such a small cursive font, the 0 looks like a  6, and a 3 looks like a fucking 8.  The whole process of copying notes was like : Look up -> Squint -> Copy x 9999 . Big fuck-up.

I nudged Jessie and told her to pack up, and that we’re leaving. But she insisted that we stay on and listen at least, even though we were sick and tired of copying notes from the board.  Pretty much an impressive response from a girl who used to countdown to class dismissal.

Sigh. Tomorrow it’s back to work 30 minutes earlier at 7am, because the NS-Men are coming back.

Project discussion over at my place tonight.

My two balls dropped like iron shackles when my teammate pointed out the irrelevancy of my draft report. 50% of the info did not correspond to the project outline.

FUCK FUCK FUCK ME! HOW COULD I HAVE FORGOTTEN ABOUT THE OUTLINE?!

I had spent too much time researching about WTO, rather than on Vietnam’s economy. Bad bad bad fucking mistake which cost me lots of time and effort.

I have one more day to gather all the RELEVANT info, compile the team’s draft report, before the deadline on Tuesday. And considering the fact that I do not have access to the internet nor any form of storage media at work, the only time I can restart my research is at 7pm tomorrow when I return home.

That leaves me dangerously close to not being able to submit the report on time.

Fucking shit.

Stayed over at Jessie’s place last night, drinking wine and finishing up the Econs project. Jessie slept around 2am last night, which was early, probably exhausted after a whole day of looking at programming codes. I continued drinking wine and working at the comp, ocassionally taking smoke breaks at her window. All the way till 4am, before I finally crawled into bed.

Jessie was talking in her sleep, muttering something along the lines of "uhhhmm–mmmmm–mmmmm—-hmmm".

I woke at 11am to Jessie tugging at my hand. "Come, wake up, let’s eat… breakfast is ready". And she dragged me all the way to the kitchen.

Neatly laid across the table were two plates of English Breakfast (sausages, baked beans, toast with omelette). She had woken up earlier, carefully got out of bed to avoid waking me up, just to prepare breakfast.  That’s something she does without fail everytime I’m over at her place, so much so that I’ve taken it for granted.

This post is for Jessie. The sweetest girl I’ve ever met. And I love her :D

Finally found the Celestial – Spirit House CD (1996) which I’ve been searching for, for the past five years. Sadly, I only remembered the tunes, not the album cover nor title, so I was unable to find it. Been hiding in dad’s dusty cd-drawer for a long long time.

Now I can loop the CD over and over again. By far the best CD I’ve ever owned. Cang Ding’s my favourite track.

Serious, you go hear for yourself, it’s in the Jukebox now.

For almost a year, numerous Residents’ Meetings have been held under my block regardinging an en-bloc opportunity. They needed 80% of us to agree before anything could begin.

Everybody rejected the proposals time and time again. Some didn’t know exactly what was going on, anyhow vote. Some felt that the piece of land we’ve been sitting on for almost 20 over years, which was freehold, close to the CBD area, was worth much more than they quoted.

Today we received a letter from them..

"Your Sale Committee has taken into consideration the recent escalating prices in some sectors of the residential property market and it has decided that the Reserve Price for the collective sale of XXXXXXXXXXXXXX Apartment should be revised to more accurately reflect such increase"

They are offering $1m now for a three bedroom apartment, a $400k increase compared to the pansy lil $600k they offered us a few months back! And now we’re saying no, because now we know they desperately want this piece of land. They’re gonna have to give us more.
